A educação ambiental crítica na escola centro educacional ambiente positivo

Environmental education at school can contribute to the search for the sustainability of life, in addition to providing the development of a critical position, making the subjects involved into citizens capable of re-discussing existing values in their reality. The objective here is to reflect on the role and challenges of Critical Environmental Education at school. The study was carried out through interviews with teachers from the Centro Educacional Ambiente Positivo school in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. At the educational institution, we sought to inquire about their Environmental Education practices through dialogue with teachers. As a result of the study, it was possible to know that in the researched school, as expressed by the interviewed teachers, Environmental Education is considered important and works in an interdisciplinary perspective. In addition, the interviewed teachers did not refer to Critical Environmental Education, did not talk about socio-environmental problems, nor about transformation actions.A educação ambiental na escola pode contribuir na busca pela sustentabilidade da vida, além de proporcionar o desenvolvimento de um posicionamento crítico, tornado os sujeitos envolvidos em cidadãos capazes de rediscutir valores existentes em sua realidade. O objetivo aqui é refletir sobre o papel e desafios da Educação Ambiental Crítica na escola. O estudo se realizou mediante entrevistas a professoras da escola Centro Educacional Ambiente Positivo de Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. Na instituição educativa se buscou indagar sobre suas práticas de Educação Ambiental através do diálogo com professoras. Como resultado do estudo foi possível conhecer que na escola pesquisada segundo o expressado pelas professoras entrevistadas a Educação Ambiental é considerada importante e se trabalha na perspectiva interdisciplinar. Além disso as professoras entrevistadas não fizeram referência a Educação Ambiental Crítica, não falaram dos problemas socioambientais, tampouco de ações de transformação
