A new method for thin radioactive source preparation is based on two steps: - (1) preparation of a thin film and - (2) incorporation of radioactive elements by chelation process. Some properties of a N-hexyl-pyrrole 2N,N'dimethyl dibutyl malonamide monomer are reported herein. Thins films are obtained by electropolymerisation of this monomer in acetonitrile medium. This method allows the synthesis of polymers of controlled thickness containing chelating ligands. The limit distribution coefficient and the retention yield have been determined for uranium(VI) in a soaking nitric medium
