New synonymies in the genus Peperoinia Ruiz & Pav. (Piperaceae) : an annotated checklist

In this annotated checklist, 111 names of taxa of Peperomia Ruiz & Pav. (Piperaccue) are placed into synonymies, 26 former synonymized names are re-established, and 10 existing synonyms are transferred and placed under a different accepted name of taxon. In addition, 43 lectotypes are designated. Appropriate nomenclatural as well as taxonomic justification is provided
