Monete e spazi sacri: rinvenimenti monetali dai santuari dell’entroterra siciliano

This paper analyzes the coins finds from the sacred area of the indigenous settlements of the Sicilian hinterland. In particular, these coins have been found in sites called Balate, Polizzello, Raffe, Sabucina and Vassallaggi. As, in most cases, the coins are accompanied by the data of excavation, it is possible to make hypotheses about the function carried out the coins within the sacred spaces.
