International audienceIn Niger, the transistor and the mobile phone coexist to allow populations to listen to the radio on the go. This gives them the opportunity to be accompanied at work or during a trip, but also to follow the news at home with their family. Radio thus represents a key medium that penetrates the daily life of populations. A data analysis of survey conducted in 2015 and an unprecedented interview with the founder of the first rural radio stations in Niger (2019) allows us to understand the evolution of radio uses in this country.
