In this paper, a twin rotor system as a model for a helicopter is studied. This system consists of two rotors acting as propellers, connected to a massive body. Not only the mathematical derivation is shown, but also some important simplifications are explained and described. Finally, the twin rotor system is also realised and measurements show that the controlling of this system works fine
