This thesis is devoted to the study of a nonlinear eddy current problem and the study of the properties of a material composed from particles of different electromagnetic characteristics. Homogenization is used in the second part. Particularly the theory of two-scale convergence to obtain a rigorous analytical model and Heterogeneous Multiscale Method (HMM) which provides us with a numerical approximation of the homogenized properties of composite materials
