In this paper a safety format is proposed to be applied when using Finite Element Models (FEM) to calculate the structural response of concrete slabs during fire. It is suggested to divide the structural resistance obtained with a FEM analysis by a global factor. While maintaining a high level of simplicity, the proposed method takes into account the consequence class of the structure and the fire incidence rate, and allows for the incorporation of other fire protection measures
