As the construction sector uses 50% of the earth’s raw material and produces 50% of its waste, the development of more durable and sustainable building products is crucial. Since Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) is mostly inert material, it is nowadays used as recycled aggregates, but only in low-value concrete applications.
