The omnibus International Environmental Law: The Practitioner's Guide to the Laws of the Planet was recently published by the American Bar Association. The purpose of this book is to provide practitioners with a comprehensive and practical guide to international environmental law and its implementation in twenty-six key jurisdictions spanning the globe, including New Zealand. Clients with multinational interests are increasingly required to navigate the rapidly emerging regime of international environmental law and its domestic implementation. Practitioners are called upon to advise governments, industry and non-governmental organisations on the ramifications of this regime for a range of sectors, such as fisheries, mining, and oil and gas. The book introduces practitioners to key aspects of international environmental law and a practical framework for considering its implications for different clients. The following chapters provide a standardised template that enables comparative analysis of environmental law and its implementation within key domestic jurisdictions from around the world
