Self-compacting concrete (SCC) tends to spall when subject to high temperature in case of an accidental fire. Proper understanding its deformation properties at elevated temperatures is necessary in avoiding detrimental effects. This paper presents the experimental results carried out on SCC specimens subjected to high temperatures when they are loaded. The transient strain and load induced thermal strain of SCC are measured under the variation of temperature level, heating rate, stress level, strength grade of SCC, and content of polypropylene fibres.
