Purpose: PEGylated human hyaluronidase (PEGPH20) enzymatically depletes hyaluronan, an important component of the extracellular matrix, increasing the delivery of therapeutic molecules. Combinations of chemotherapy and PEGPH20, however, have been unsuccessful in Phase III clinical trials.
