L’hypoxie intra-tumorale est associée à un mauvais pronostic et une mauvaise réponse au traitement dans les cancers ORL. Son identification permettrait d’augmenter la dose de rayonnement aux sous-volumes tumoraux hypoxiques. Les principales techniques d’imagerie de l’hypoxie sont dominées par l’imagerie TEP/TDM au 18F-FMISO. D’autre part, plusieurs techniques IRM ont été décrites comme pouvant mettre en évidence la présence d’hypoxie.
