The configuration of an FPGA is a process of customizing the functionality implemented by the FPGA fabric. In applications where configuration is used to adapt the functionality of the application at run-time, the time needed to generate a new configuration and reconfigure the FPGA should be minimized. These configurations are FPGA configurations generated off-line, in which some of the configuration bits are expressed as a Boolean function of a set of parameter inputs.
