This work results from research activities within the scope of the Masterâ s Thesis in Civil Engineering underway in the University of Minho and carried out in partnership with two companies, Mota-Engil Engineering and Software House Construsoft. The elaboration of this work is expected to foster, through the Tekla Structures software, the potentialities that the use of BIM technologies gives to the construction industry concerning the improvement of management aspects and budgeting resources, thereby contributing to achieving higher levels of perfection throughout the life cycle of the construction process.
