More than 30 countries across the world are the producer of sericulture. Global production of silk between 2010 and 2016 is 38%. In India about 60 lakhs persons employed in rural and semi urban areas in sericulture. At national level there is a significant relative change in the production of mulberry silk between 2010-11 to 2016-17 and the relative change in the said time period is about 30.03.
