The article examines issues related to the formation of the image of higher education institutions in modern conditions. The presence of a positive image of a higher education institution affects its competitiveness, the quality of education and the level of its development in the region and in the country. Therefore, it is important to find out what influences its formation, and whether it is necessary to continue this work today, during the period of martial law. Considering the issue of the image of the university, the author came to the conclusion that work on maintaining and further developing the image must be carried out constantly, even in modern conditions of martial law, it is important to plan it, at least for short periods of time. You should adjust your tasks with government orders, maintain relations with the public. Of course, the main task of educational institutions at all times is to ensure the educational process, support and improve it. But we should not forget about extracurricular activities, cooperation with students, graduates, teachers, especially regarding their participation in regional and district events, volunteering and charity projects. It is necessary to pay attention to the external and internal audience of the university. Higher education institutions should also focus on social issues, namely: on work in the dormitory, on helping students with large families, disabled students, orphans, at social events, etc. The Internet plays an important role in shaping the image of higher education institutions in modern conditions, and it is necessary to use all its possibilities to draw attention to the formation of a positive image of higher education institutions. Thus, it is necessary to constantly support and develop the image of the university, because it increases competitiveness in the market of educational services. It attracts applicants, parents, teachers, public organizations, commercial enterprises; allows graduates to be proud of their Alma mater
