Despite the internationalization of high-tech enterprises from large counties often appearing on the news and in academic journals, small firms from small countries have been ignored. This research brings up a strategic entrepreneurship study focusing on small firms in a small country to fill the research gap. A qualitative method of case study is deployed in this study. The paper argues that small firms have advantages and disadvantages to engaging in the internationalization process through a detailed combined SWOT and Uppsala model analysis. However, extra caution must be taken in setting strategies for markets and partnerships.
