THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE OF KARAKALPAKSTAN IN THE ХХ CENTURY

The article is devoted to the history of the formation and development of the scientific center in Karakalpakstan. The first scientific expeditions to the territory of Karakalpakstan were carried out in the mid-1920s to study the history, language and culture of the Karakalpaks. The factors and objective conditions of the organization of a scientific institution in Karakalpakstan are indicated.
