Members of the genus Amischa can be distinguished from other athetine genera by combination of the following characters: head subtriangular, dilated basally; eyes small, distinctly shorter than temples; antennomeres 4–10 transverse or subquadrate; ligula short, broad and entire; prementum without lateral pseudopores; pronotal pubescence directed posteriorly in midline; hypomeron partially visible in lateral aspect; mesocoxal cavities unmargined in most species; abdominal tergites II–VI without anterior macrosetae, VI not impressed in basal re...
