Plant protection products (PPPs) used in agriculture reach the soil and surface waters with different entry paths. Point sources constitute the largest percentage of the rate of 40−95%. The contamination in watersheds by point sources is closely related to the PPPs, total applied area, number of sprayers used in the region and operating conditions.
