In the course of the research, the amounts of total sugar, vitamin C, dry matter and acidity of fruits of 17 local pear varieties of the national selection and 2 wild forms spread in the Shaki-Zakatala region were determined. Farmers were recommended to use the national varieties of pears with richer bio-chemical composition, in breeding and creation of new pear orchard
