The purpose of this study is to explore the concept of crowdsourcing and how this can be exploited by small- and medium size enterprises in Sweden, to function as a mean for improvement. In order to achieve this, a working conceptual model was outlined and three research questions were formulated. The literature review consist of the origin, concept and process of crowdsourcing, its advantages and disadvantages, similar concepts, as well as the resource based view (RBV) in line with McGrath et al.
