Mental workload has a major effect on the individual’s performance in most real-world tasks, which can lead to significant errors in critical operations. On this premise, the analysis and assessment of mental workload attain high research interest in both the fields of Neuroergonomics and Neuroscience. In this work, we implemented an EEG experimental design consisting of two distinct mental tasks (mental arithmetic task, n-back task), each with two conditions of complexity (low and high) to investigate the task-related and task-unrelated workload effects.
