Dolutegravir’s therapeutic effectiveness in the management of neuroAIDS is mainly limited by its failure to cross the blood–brain barrier. However, lipid-based nanovesicles such as nanoemulsions have demonstrated their potential for the brain targeting of various drugs by intranasal delivery.
