Based on the dissection of the geological characteristics of typical shale gas wells, the relationship between reservoir-forming factors and shale gas enrichment is deeply analyzed, and the controlling factors of shale gas enrichment are summarized. An analysis of data from drilling, logging, testing, and shale sample has revealed that the factors contributing to the formation of shale gas reservoirs in marine–continental transitional facies of Shanxi Formation in the southeast of Ordos Basin are highly heterogeneous.
