Autoconcepto Académico y Control Emocional en Estudiantes de décimo Año de una Unidad Educativa de Guayas, 2020

Currently, due to the health emergency caused by Covid-19, it has been observed that within the educational field there are shortcomings in social skills, which has generated in students a low or limited level of self-esteem, insecurity when communicating, frustration, aggressiveness. , this is related to the perception that each individual has of himself, which is why it is assumed that self-concept is a psychoeducational variable, which has influence on important aspects within the educational context, highlighting its implication on school success and academic performance, since it plays a primary role in the development of personality by creating mental representations of the world around them, for which feedback is important. This research had the objective of establishing the relationship between academic self-concept and emotional control in students of Unidad Educativa 27 de Noviembre, Guayas, 2020. For which the research methodology was quantitative, non-experimental design with a descriptive and correlational scope, in a population of 40 tenth-year students, in terms of the sampling procedure, the survey was used, the respective analysis of the information was made through the SPSS system. As a main result, it was determined that there is no relationship between academic self-concept and emotional control in the population studied, observing a level of sig. Bilateral greater than (0.581). For this reason, it is concluded that the variable academic self-concept and emotional control are not related.En la actualidad, debido a la emergencia sanitaria por Covid-19, se ha observado que dentro del ámbito educativo existe falencias en las habilidades sociales lo cual ha generado en los estudiantes un bajo o limitado nivel de autoestima, inseguridad al comunicarse, frustración, agresividad, esto se relacionado con la percepción que cada individuo tiene de sí mismo, es por ello que se asume que el autoconcepto es una variable psico educativa, que posee influencia en aspectos importantes dentro del contexto educativo, resaltando su implicancia sobre el éxito escolar y el rendimiento académico, siendo que el mismo juega una función primordial en el desarrollo de la personalidad creando representaciones mentales del mundo que los rodea para lo cual es importante la retroalimentación. Esta investigación tuvo el objetivo de establecer la relación entre autoconcepto académico y control emocional en los en estudiantes de Unidad Educativa 27 de Noviembre, Guayas, 2020. Para lo cual la metodología de investigación fue de tipo cuantitativa, diseño no experimental con un alcance descriptivo y correlacional, en una población de 40 estudiantes de décimo año,  en cuanto al procedimiento de muestreo fue empleada la encuesta,  se hizo el respectivo análisis de la información mediante el sistema del SPSS. Como resultado principal se determinó que no existe una relación entre el autoconcepto académico y el control emocional en la población estudiada, observándose un nivel de sig. Bilateral mayor a (0,581). Por este motivo se concluye que la variable autoconcepto académico y control emocional no tienen relación
