Perspectivas del Diálogo de Seguridad Cuadrilateral (QUAD) frente a China

The geopolitical importance of the Asian continent and the Indian and Pacific Oceans is explained by the growth of the region's economies and their global impact, the strategic nature of the maritime routes for trade and fuel supply, as well as the rivalry between the international actors that converge there. The strategic confrontation between the United States and China, intensified after the outbreak of COVID-19 and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, takes part in this scenario. In this paper, we will analyze the current status and prospects of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD) vis-à-vis Beijing, period 2021-2022.La importancia geopolítica del continente asiático y de los océanos Índico y Pacífico está dada, entre otros factores, por el crecimiento de las economías que allí confluyen y su impacto mundial, el carácter estra- tégico de las vías marítimas para el comercio y el suministro de combustibles, así como por la rivalidad entre los actores internacionales. En ese escenario se inscribe el enfrentamiento estratégico entre Estados Unidos y China, agudizado tras la irrupción de la COVID-19 y la crisis ruso-ucraniana. En el presente trabajo analizaremos el comportamiento actual y las perspectivas del Diálogo de Seguridad Cuadrilateral(QUAD) frente a Beijing, teniendo en cuenta el periodo 2021-2022
