1997 The White House Grounds Ornament (from the White House Historical Association collection)

The Christmas ornament honors Franklin Pierce, 14th President of the United States. The ornament\u27s design is inspired by the White House renovations that took place in 1853-1854. At the ornament\u27s front a color image of the White House is depicted and the gold frame is made in the likeness of mirrors Pierce hung in the state parlors.
