Análisis del comportamiento económico de la exportación del sector floricultor en el Ecuador, periodo 2017 – 2021

Exports are one of the activities on which the economy of the countries is based, generating foreign currency, sources of employment, technological development, competitive growth, foreign investment. One of the important sectors of Ecuadorian foreign trade is floriculture, which has positioned itself as the third country with the highest export of this product worldwide, below the Netherlands and Colombia. The objective of the work is to carry out an analysis of the economic behavior of the flower sector in the period 2017 to 2021, in order to have a better idea of its contribution to the local economy. In the work, descriptive research with a quantitative approach was used, having access to scientific articles, statistical information, for their respective analysis. By the year 2021, this important sector represented 5.1% of non-oil exports in addition to 0.87% of the current gross domestic product. In 2020, as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, sales fell 6%, harming producers and investors. However, by the year 2021, sales increased by 100 million dollars, envisioning a better productive and competitive outlook for such an important agricultural sector.Las exportaciones suponen una de las actividades en que se sustenta la economía de los países, generando divisas, fuentes de empleo, desarrollo tecnológico, crecimiento competitivo, inversión extranjera. Uno de los sectores importantes del comercio exterior ecuatoriano es el florícola que se ha posicionado como el tercer país de mayor exportación de este producto a nivel mundial por debajo de Países Bajos y Colombia. el objetivo del trabajo es realizar un análisis del comportamiento económico del sector florícola en el periodo 2017 al 2021, para tener una mejor idea sobre su contribución a la economía local. En el trabajo se utilizó la investigación descriptiva con enfoque cuantitativo, teniendo acceso a artículos científicos, información estadística, para su respectivo análisis. Para el año 2021 este importante sector representó el 5.1% de las exportaciones no petroleras además del 0,87% del producto interno bruto corriente. En el año 2020, producto de la pandemia del Covid 19 cayó 6% en las ventas perjudicando a los productores e inversionista. Sin embargo, para el año 2021, las ventas se incrementaron en 100 millones de dólares, vislumbrando un mejor panorama productivo y competitivo de tan importante sector agrícola
