In the neonatal period, it has been seen that congenital malformations of the gastrointestinal tract have been increasing in frequency. One of these, and the most frequent is gastroschisis, important because of its high associated mortality in developing countries. A clinical case of fetal gastroschisis is presented, of a 23-year-old patient with a 31-week pregnancy 1 day who is diagnosed by ultrasound that evidenced a defect in the abdominal wall compatible with gastroschisis, which was confirmed at birth.
