Le capital immatériel et la prédiction de l’évolution des exportations au Maroc : modélisation économétrique

At the macro level, investment in intangible capital can impact export performance. The stock of accumulated intangible capital can be a major determinant of its success in the economic and trade arena. States seek to establish themselves as ʺ reservoirs ʺ of quality intangible capital. This form of intangible capital accumulation can act positively to boost exports. As such, a ̏important ̏and quality intangible capital stock, via its specific characteristics, can lead to trade openness and structural change in the economy. The level of trade openness depends on the level of accumulation of intangible capital. The theoretical debate around the relationship between the accumulation of intangible capital and the level of exports (via economic openness) is split, at least, on two causal links: the first indicate the role of the stock, assumed to be of quality, intangible capital in the optimization, commercial performance and competitiveness of countries on an international scale. The second highlights the role of the accumulation of intangible capital in strengthening the trade balance through the specific characteristics of the accumulated stock. Similarly, intangible capital can also be a source of economic growth. This contribution aims to study, in the case of Morocco, the relationship between the indices quantifying intangible capital (exogenous variables) and the process by which they explain export performance (endogenous variable). We trace the intellectual trajectory of this relationship in order to build our theoretical model and to verify it in the case of Morocco. We will use the multiple linear regression method using the R software. The number of observations of our indicators is 30. Le stock du capital immatériel accumulé peut constituer un déterminant majeur de son succès sur l’échiquier économique et commercial. Les États cherchent à s’imposer comme des ʺ réservoirs ʺ de capital immatériel de qualité. Cette forme d’accumulation en capital immatériel peut agir positivement pour stimuler les exportations. À ce titre, un stock   ̏important ̏et de qualité en capital immatériel, via ses caractéristiques spécifiques, peut conduire à une ouverture commerciale et à un changement structurel de l’économie. Le niveau d’ouverture commerciale dépend du niveau d’accumulation du capital immatériel. Le débat théorique autour de la relation entre l’accumulation du capital immatériel et le niveau des exportations (via l’ouverture économique) est scindé, au moins, sur deux liens de causalité : le premier indique le rôle du stock, supposé de qualité, du capital immatériel dans l’optimisation, la performance commerciale et la compétitivité des pays à l’échelle internationale. Le deuxième souligne le rôle de l’accumulation du capital immatériel dans le renforcement de la balance commerciale à travers les caractéristiques spécifiques du stock accumulé. De même, le capital immatériel peut aussi être source de croissance économique. Cette contribution a pour objectif d’étudier, dans le cas du Maroc, la relation entre les indices quantifiant le capital immatériel (variables exogènes) et le processus par lequel ils permettent d’expliquer la performance des exportations (variable endogène). Nous retraçons la trajectoire intellectuelle de cette relation afin d’édifier d’une part, notre modèle théorique et, d’autre part, de le vérifier dans le cas du Maroc. Nous utiliserons la méthode de régression linéaire multiple en utilisant le logiciel R. le nombre d’observations de nos indicateurs est 30.
