International audienceElectroacoustic music is a meta-genre that includes many artistic practices in which electricity is used for the creation and transformation of sounds. Among these genres, acousmatics developed, on the one hand, in the heritage of musique concrète - and its opposition to the abstraction of written instrumental composition (Schaeffer, 1966, p. 23) - and, on the other hand, to differentiate itself from all the live practices of the late 1960s - mixed music or live electronics.
