Carbon nanotubes are an optimal load because of their high aspect ratio to enable conductivity with a low percolation level in polymer matrix. We were concerned to optimize the CNTs dispersion in polyamide-6 matrix by optical observations, the shear mixing being important parameters. The growth of PA-6 trans-crystalline lamellae from the surface of the CNTs is observed. The conductivity study shows its increase with a post thermal treatment because of the CNTs aggregation. The conductivity increases when the treatment temperature increase or when the mass of the matrix decrease. Masterbatch of SBM/CNTs were prepared by melting and solution method and diluted in PA-6.
