Poor sleep quality as one of the mental problems caused by shift working can lead to psychological disorders (i.e., depression; adult attention deficit; memory, cognitive, and performance deficit; reduced job satisfaction, quality of life, and sex drive; and mood change) and physiological disorders (immune system, obesity, cardiovascular risks, hormone imbalance, fertility, and aging). The main scope of the proposed chapter is to describe the various dimensions of psychological and physiological disorders caused by poor sleep quality among shift-working nurses.
