Feline leukemia is one of the main viral diseases affecting domestic and/or wild felines due to the fact that it has several forms of transmission, among which we find: oral, nasal, sexual, transplacental and intrauterine. For its diagnosis different tests are used such as: ELISA or rapid kits, real-time PCR, Rt-qPCR, immunoassay, immucromatography, among others; of which the most used at clinical level is the ELISA test or rapid kits. For this reason, the objective of the current research project is to compare the sensitivity and specificity of the rapid kits vs. the qPCR molecular test, as well as to analyze the prevalence of risk factors.
