This study has two objectives. The first is to reach a better understanding of the magnitude and variation of: (1) the size, the specific mass and the settlement velocity of solids transported during wet weather downstream in sewer systems; (2) the distribution, in urban stormwater discharge, between dissolved pollution and pollution attached to the solids, as well as the distribution of this pollution between classes of particles. The second objective is to provide ideas for options or technical solutions aiming at creating a plan to combat pollution in urban stormwater discharge.
