The inreasing use of geothermal heat pumps on the French territory represents an important reduction potential of greenhouse gases emissions. To encourage this trend, it is necessary to accurately assess the annual performances of geothermal heat pumps in comparison with the other existing heating systems. In such a context, this thesis aims to establish a precise and functional model for calculating the annual energy performances of geothermal heat pumps with horizontal or vertical ground heat exchangers.After a literature review of horizontal and vertical ground heat exchangers models, the geothermal borehole models more adapted to dynamic simulations are identified and their validity ranges are reported.
