This work was focused on the investigation of non-degenerate two-photon absorption (ND-2PA) as a solution for detecting infrared photons in visible bandgap materials. This allows high performance operation at high temperatures.Firstly, we investigated the different descriptions of two-photon absorption and applied them in the theoretical frame of photodetection.
