Facing the growing complexity of trajectories and operating conditions of oil and geothermal drillings, the fatigue phenomenon has become the main cause of drill-string failure. The fatigue of drill-pipes is essentially due to their cyclic bending caused by their rotation in a curved section of the well. The objective of this work is to develop a methodology and the necessary numerical models to assess the fatigue of drill-pipes during drilling operations of complex trajectory wells.
