Women in Mexico made massive progress in higher education around the decade of the seventies of the last century; throughout this period, access to management, administration and power positions in universities has been limited, even despite the existence of international and national equality laws that regulate equality of conditions between men and women, and it is in this sense that this document aims to make visible the vertical segregation that inhibits their access to power. The methodology is mixed, descriptive and transversal; 1,325 surveys and 60 interviews were applied in six public universities in the country.
