Buytendijk, eventually solidified as a nascent phenomenological psychology. Supported by German, Belgian and French colleagues, Dutch phenomenological psychologists and criminologists attempted to generate an understanding of psychology that was based on largely Husserlian interpretations of phenomenological philosophy.
