DISINTEGRATION was meant to be a novella, though for word count purposes it is, in fact, a short story. This project began as an exercise in form and a challenge to traditional narrative structure. Can a story exist without a sense of place? Without a “real” plot to follow? This is my engagement with these craft questions through the lens of a woman grappling with the state of the contemporary Western world and her place in it
