In this article we focused on the transformation of the queen consort role in the Late Middle Ages. This evolution was driven by a difficult war context such as the War between the Crown of Castile and the Crown of Aragon. The also known as the War of the Two Peters was an extensive and complex conflict that faced the Crowns of Castile and Aragon between 1356 and 1366 and with skirmishes and specific episodes until 1375. Although the conflict seemed limited to the differences and ambitions of both monarchies, soon it involved the rest of the Iberian monarchies and some European ones, taking part for each of the sides.
