The analysis of the results of an investigation on academic stress in the school context in the city of Bogotá, D.C., in 36 educational institutions, of which 35 are elementary and high school (n=334 students) and one public university (n=73 students), is presented. For this purpose, a multiple-weighting Likert scale questionnaire was adapted, with high internal consistency, characterized by 17 items. The results for this category, called academic situations, were organized into intrinsic and extrinsic dimensions. High-stress indexes associated with the inherent size were observed, especially concerning self-demand.
