The Southeast Iowa Region has embarked on a long-term effort to maintain and improve the economic viability of the four-county area through the creation of an economic development strategy. The commitment that will be necessary by the leadership of the region will be indicated by how well they have sought to implement the programs of this strategy. As indicated by this study, the region cannot afford to remain complacent and must seek continuous economic improvements through the actions of this plan
