Abstract Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 8 weeks of combined training (endurance and resistance) on the amount of NLRP3, CASPASE-1 and IL-1β proteins in the cardiac tissue of type 2 diabetic male rats. Methods: 21 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into Healthy Control (C), Diabetic Control (D) and Diabetic with Combined Training (D+COT). After the induction of diabetes, the animals performed combined training for 8 weeks. 48 hours after final session protein expression levels of NLRP3, caspase-1 and IL-1β were assessed by Western blot and Eliza techniques from myocardium.
