Researchers are now looking for alternatives that reduce the virulence and pathogenic potential of the bacteria without killing it. It can be accomplished by interfering with the quorum sensing (QS) system of bacteria. In this article, we aim to determine the antimicrobial and anti-QS activity of Salvia sclarea and Melaleuca alternifolia essential oils. The sub-lethal concentration of these essential oils (EOs) was found with the help of a growth curve, and further experiments were carried out below this concentration.
