The aim of the present pilot study was to evaluate the feasibility of a method for characterizing the short-term, in vivo biomechanical response of the lamina cribrosa (LC) in the eyes of patients starting glaucoma medication as a potential biomarker for primary open angle glaucoma (POAG). Radial optical coherence tomography (OCT) image volumes were acquired and intraocular pressure (IOP) was measured for 23 eyes from 15 patients before starting glaucoma medication and after a duration of 7.3 ± 1.4 days.
