The article discusses the use of Landawe language in North Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi. It also discusses the attitude of Landawe society toward their local language. This study uses qualitative approach and sociolinguistics theory. The aspect of social and culture shows that Asera district as the place of Landawe society live is multilingual. It thus, most of Landawe society do code mixing and code switching among Indonesian, Tolaki, dan Landawe languages. It brings to the language shift of Landawe. Besides, Landawe language has low role and function in society. Indonesian and Tolaki languages has more power than Landawe. The use of Landawe language is descreasing. It is affected by both extra and intra linguistics factors.</p
